Felix

For the last fourteen years, Felix has been growing his craft; he creates balloon decorations, altars, and more, primarily for religious celebrations in his Yoruba faith.  For him, this creative process is like therapy, he gets absorbed in his designs and forgets about the rest.

Felix’s words to live by are:

“Talent opens many doors for you but being grateful leaves them open to you.”

Felix has been living in Arizona since 2021 after fleeing his home country of Cuba due to homophobic violence.  Felix enjoys Arizona because of its various opportunities to advance, but he does not love the heat.  He and his husband, who he met in Uruguay during his migration to the United States, are currently fighting to obtain permanent legal status in the United States.
