Lauri Valerio (she/her)

Lauri is a consultant to nonprofits and foundations on strategy, program design, collaboration, and writing, among other things. She strives to center and shift power to the people most impacted by an organization's work. Before launching her own practice, Lauri served in communications and consulting roles at Community Wealth Partners, oversaw young adult programs at United Way Worldwide, served as associate editor for hyperlocal publication Advocate Magazine, and spent a year teaching English in northwest Argentina. She graduated from Pomona College with a degree in English and creative writing. Lauri was proud to grow up as the daughter of an immigrant in El Paso, TX. She has a passion for the outdoors and more equitable access to it.

What does reimagining immigrant justice mean to you?

It means understanding our fates are tied together and co-creating a world where we can all live full, free lives.
